Members research real public companies, present investment ideas, and decide together how the fund should invest.

How the fund works

Pitch teams present and the club decides

As a long-only public equities fund, BSIF brings members together in sector-based pitch teams that turn research into stock recommendations and present those ideas to the full club for a vote.

Match with a team

At the start of each semester, interested members complete a brief interview and matching process designed to place nearly everyone who wants to participate on a sector-based pitch team.

Research a company

Each pitch team covers a specific industry, develops an investment thesis, and prepares a public equities stock pitch.

Pitch the club

Teams present their research and recommendation to the full club so members can ask questions, discuss the thesis, and evaluate the opportunity together.

Vote on the investment

After the full club votes on whether BSIF should invest, approved ideas can be added to the club's long-only public equities portfolio.
